MARKETING/
COMMUNICATIONS
RESEARCHER
An excellent opportunity to conduct real-life research and analysis for experience in the field and/or for a research paper/dissertation at university.
Aimed at second, third and fourth-year students.
A research project aimed at Marketing/PR/Business/Comms students looking to get real short-term experience in marketing, communications and analysis of real data.
Duration:
2-3 weeks.
2 weeks on site, 1 week hybrid home/site
Start date: 18th September 2023 (or as soon as possible)
Goal: Speak to new patients on-site and attain completed forms whilst establishing trust and delivering information.
- Delivering a welcome brochure to new patients in-store.
- Speak to existing patients in-store and via email/phone: Get feedback
- Speak to patients about their queries and worries (to report, not diagnose).
- Keep notes on interactions, making note of gender, age, health interests, topics of conversation, and outcomes.
- Compile results, conduct analysis and present a report at the end of the pilot.
- Support Project Manager
We are looking for someone who is:
- Self-driven, independent, and confident in talking to customers
- Experienced in customer service
- Has 1-2 years of marketing (or related) studies in university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Some experience in extrapolating and analysing data.
This is a temporary, voluntary position.

COUNTER
ASSISTANT
Pay: £5.50 - £10.60 an hour

Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. We provide fantastic patient care, as a Pharmacy Assistant you will work across the Chemist Counter and the dispensary meeting the needs of our patients.
How will you do it?
You will be providing advice and health services to our patients through conversations as well as delivering the technical aspects of supplying medicines. This is often a fast-paced environment in which you will interact with many different people.
What you’ll be doing day to day.
It’s all about providing health advice through focused conversations with our patients, whilst giving clear and accurate answers. Your duties will include:
- Tailoring conversations with every customer to ensure they leave Prestwich Pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
- Complying with legal and professional requirements.
What you’ll need to have.
We’re offering you an exciting career opportunity. We’re looking for someone with a general passion for customer care, who will be an ambassador for healthcare in our Pharmacy. You will build meaningful relationships with our patients, understanding their individual needs and tailor their support and advice appropriately. You will have the ability to advise patients with confidence and accuracy while staying patient-focused. To work within our Pharmacy you will need to have completed a Medicines Counter Assistant qualification or equivalent. However, if you have good customer service, and are hard-working and enthusiastic, all training and support will be given.

The role will involve all aspects of working in the dispensary, e.g. dispensing, ordering, taking patient requests via email and phone, and liaising with other Health Care professionals from the surrounding surgeries.
