TEAM CRAFTERNOON

Although not an event for charity, we held an internal arts and craft afternoon after we closed up on a Saturday. This was to give us all some calm and relaxing time together, to take our minds away from work and focus on something new, productive and creative! It was great to wind down after a wonderfully busy week in the shop!

We know that it is just as important to take a break and care for ourselves to ensure we are not pouring from an empty cup when serving the Prestwich community.

CANCER RESEARCH PRETTY MUDDY 5KM

A group of us joined together to run the muddiest, inflata-filled 5km around Heaton Park in July 2024. It was an incredible effort from every single person out there running through the mud, wind and rain - special shout out to our Prestwich Pharmacy representatives, each running for their own cancer story, but collectively raising money and awareness against the collective fight against cancer! Each individual step we take , is one step closer to curing this horrific disease together!

FREE PAMPER PACKS FOR THE VULNERABLE

A few days before the nationwide lockdown was imposed, our elderly community was advised to self-isolate. We knew how lonely and unpleasant this must have been for our most vulnerable patients and decided to surprise them with pamper kits. They were delivered by our drivers as part of patients' prescription delivery slots. We are pleased to say that this brought a few smiles and made what we do worthwhile.  🌸

REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR

Homelessness is devastating at any time of the year but at Christmas, when our city is full of celebrations, flashy lights and happy families, the difference between those that have and those that don’t is easy to spot.

That's why we created a Reverse Advent Calendar - 24 days of giving. Every day of December, we showcased a different item customers could donate for the homeless. With your help we managed to raise 612 essential items and donated them to Coffee4Craig.

MISSION CHRISTMAS

With 1 in 3 children living in poverty in Manchester, we are hopeful that by supporting Mission Christmas on #ChristmasJumperDay and raising gifts for 25 children, we have helped being one step closer to all children waking up to a gift on Christmas.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

We held a bake sale and raised £271.12. This wouldn't have been possible without your support, Prestwich. Thank you. The money we have raised could pay for a Macmillan Grant that helps a family affected by cancer take a holiday and enjoy precious time together.
